Ladli Behnas, Employees Shocked As MP Government Denies Scheme Hike, OPS & Promotions
The same reply given to the House again may disappoint the government employees who are waiting for promotion.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Ladli Behnas and the employees got a shock from the government’s reply in the House on Friday over a hike in the amount of the Ladli Behna Yojna, Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and promotion.
The government clearly said it had neither any plan to increase the amount under the Ladli Behna Yojna nor any proposal to register new names for the scheme. Women and Child Welfare Department Nirmala Bhuria informed the House about the government’s decision in reply to a question.
Legislators Ramkishore Dogne and Pradeep Laria put up the questions in regard to the Ladli behna Yojna. Bhuria said registration was done twice in 2023, and there was no proposal for registering new names.
According to the scheme launched before the assembly election, it was promised that the amount would be increased to Rs 3,000 a month. The names of a large number of beneficiaries who were getting financial assistance were removed from the list on the grounds of age.
The employees also got a shock from the government’s reply to questions in the House. In reply to a written question of legislator Devendra Sakhwar, Finance Minister Jagdish Devda refused to implement OPS.
Replying to legislator Jayant Malaiya’s question over the promotion of the government employees, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the issue was stopped because of an interim stay by the Supreme Court.
Yadav gave a reply to the House over the promotion of staff during a discussion on the Governor’s address. The same reply given to the House again may disappoint the government employees who are waiting for promotion.
