Justice Prevails: Husband, Four Others Sentenced To Life Imprisonment In MP's Bhind Dowry Death Case

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A local court has sentenced five people, including the husband, to life imprisonment in a five-year-old dowry death case. Additionally, each convict has been fined ₹20,000.

According to information, the case dates back to June 17, 2020, when Aarti, a resident of Rekha Nagar, died by suicide at her in-laws' house. Her husband, Akash alias Bobby, informed her father about the incident over the phone. When the family reached the house, they found Aarti dead. The police from Dehat police station also arrived at the scene, and an investigation was initiated.
CSP Anand Rai recorded statements from the deceased’s family members and prepared the investigation report. Based on the findings, a case was registered under Sections 304B, 498A, and 34 of the IPC, along with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Akash alias Bobby, his elder brother Narendra Goyal, father Ramshankar Goyal, mother Shriwati Bai, and sister-in-law Rashmi were named as accused.
