Indore (Madhya Pradesh): How comfortable an auto-rickshaw ride could be?
Well, Indore’s Jagdish Rajput can answer it the best, as he is committed to please his passengers with as many facilities as the three-wheeler can encapsulate.
Indore city has just found a-one-of-a-kind auto-rickshaw which has a CCTV camera, a first-aid box, and tiny fans to help passengers beat the heat.
Not only these, the rickshaw also offers a sofa-like seat, grass-like floor, a dustbin in the corner and also a bunch of newspapers, just in case the passenger gets bored being stuck in the traffic!

When asked where Jagdish has drawn the inspiration of his unique and comforting vehicle, he said, “It occurred to me around 3 years ago to do something different with my auto. Just like our city Indore is number 1 in cleanliness, I wish it to have the best auto-rickshaw services as well.
He went on saying, “I also want to make an appeal to my fellow drivers that they also introduce such facilities in their own vehicles and make Indore proud for having the best rickshaws.”
Jagdish said, he doesn’t want to stop here but add more amenities to his auto, and he would want to start with adding more cameras, both on front and the back side, in order to make the ride risk-free and avoid any possible mishap.
He further added, he used to carry RO water for the passengers during the summer season, as it was much needed.
Rajput has been a driver for 8 years and is determined to continue his service setting and inspiration in the city for other auto-drivers to bring an upgrade to the city's public transport.
What about the fare?
Regarding the charges for his comfortable ride, he said, “I do not charge any extra amount. My fare is the same as normal fare. Either it’s booked from the online applications (like OLA, Rapido) or offline.“
Jagdish is an Indorean residing with his nuclear family consisting of his wife Rani Rajput, a son Rishabh Rajput and daughter Naira Rajuput. His wife is a teacher and his kids are students at Silicon Academy in Indore.
“Just in case other customers wish to avail my services, they can find me earliest at Sanwer Road, Aurobindo, " Jagdish concluded.
