Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Sisodia Mini Hospital, which was running without registration, was sealed by health department officials in Morena district on Wednesday. The hospital was functioning without a proper licence, and the qualifications of the doctor couple running it are under question.
The health department raided Sisodia Clinic and Mini Hospital on Pahadgarh Road after receiving reports about illegal activities. Dr Jitendra Sisodia and his wife Dr Parul Sisodia were running the hospital, though it was registered under the name of Agra-based Dr Sudha Bansal.
During the raid, officials found abortion medicines and ultrasound equipment for pregnant women. The team discovered that Dr Jitendra has a BHMS degree while his wife Parul completed a GNM course but lacks medical degree. Both were reportedly conducting illegal fetal sex determination tests.
The ultrasound machine was missing when officials arrived. The raid team included PCPNDT officer Dr Anand Bansal, gynaecologist Dr Gajendra Kushwaha, and block medical officer Dr SR Mishra. All delivery materials and medical reports were seized. Police have registered a criminal case against the couple.
