Horrific! Brake Failed, Out-Of-Control School Bus Rams Into 8 Vehicles At Bhopal Traffic Signal; Doctor Dead, 6 Critical (VIDEO)

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A major road accident was reported at Bhopal's Banganga Square on Monday, where an uncontrolled school bus rammed into 8 vehicles standing at the red light. 

The accident claimed the life of a young female intern doctor and left six others injured, two of them are in critical condition, TT Nagar police said here.

According to the police station in-charge, Sudhir Arajaria, the bus coming from Roshanpura Square towards Banganga Square reportedly lost control due to brake failure and rammed into at least eight vehicles waiting at the traffic signal.

Eyewitnesses said that around 10-12 vehicles were waiting at the signal when the bus came from behind.

The driver was heard shouting “move apart, move apart” moments before the collision. Despite his warnings, he was unable to stop the vehicle on time.

Following the accident, the bus driver allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.

Woman dragged 50 feet

According to police, the woman who lost her life was identified as BAMS doctor Ayesha Khan. A resident of Mulla Colony, Ayesha was doing an internship at JP Hospital. She met with an accident while returning home from there.

In the video, it can be seen that the vehicles were standing at the red light at Bhanpur Crossing. Suddenly, a school bus came from behind at high a speed and crashed into the stationary vehicles.

A woman sitting on a scooter was hit directly by the bus. She got stuck in the front part of the bus and was dragged for about 50 feet.

Eventually, her scooter was thrown out from under the bus, but she came under the front wheel and lost her life.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, with two reported in critical condition. Police have launched a search for the driver and are examining the vehicle for mechanical faults, said TI Arajaria.
