Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): The name of police emergency helpline DIAL 100 will now be changed to DIAL 112 in Gwalior.
Earlier, police's DIAL-100 service was deployed at 45 places in Gwalior, now it has been increased by 9 points to 54. Now, new Bolero and Scorpio vehicles will replace Safari.
Server room to be built
GPS system will be installed in new vehicles, so that the location of the vehicles can be tracked, allowing cops to contact each other. A local server room is also being built for all this, which will be directly connected to the central system.
A new system is also being implemented, which is called Integrated Criminal Justice System. Under this, police, hospital, court and jail will all be connected to a network so that action related to crime can be done quickly and without interruption.
Separate police station for cyber crime
A separate cyber crime police station will be built in Gwalior. Till now, a small cyber cell in the crime branch used to investigate cyber cases. But now a complete police station will be built, which will be connected to local police stations. This will make investigation and prevention of cyber crimes easier.
Gwalior SSP Dharmveer Singh said that “the police are being made hi-tech to further strengthen the security of the city. With the new changes, a strict eye can be kept on the miscreants and it will also be easy to curb cyber crimes. The entire city will be monitored with the help of CCTV cameras.”
