Morena (Madhya Pradesh): State Congress president Jitu Patwari on Monday visited the family of deceased Sanjay Jatav and offered his condolences.
On night of April 14, a dispute n Daujipura village, near Hingona Khurd led to Sanjay being shot dead, while Ranu sustained serious injuries.
Patwari assured the family that the Congress party would stand by them in their pursuit of justice. Patwari consoled Sanjay's father, Chimman Jatav, and inquired about the condition of Ranu Jatav.
A criminal case was filed against eight accused based on the victims' complaint. However, Patwari said that even after passing of 14 days, police was not able to apprehend all the suspects involved in the matter.
He criticised the government for allegedly providing political protection to the accused and deteriorating law and order situation in the Sumavali assembly constituency. Patwari urged CM Yadav to address the rising crime rates linked to anti-Dalit sentiments in the state.
In the recent development, the administration and police provided financial assistance of Rs 4.12 lakh to Sanjay Jatav's family.
Police officials assured the beavered family that seven of the eight accused have been arrested. During the distribution of financial assistance, SDM Bhupendra Singh Kushwaha, CSP Deepali Chandoriya and others were present.
Moreover, Patwari also called the order of DGP to salute the MPs and MLAs as impractical. He demanded CM Yadav to increase police force to strengthen the poor law and order.
