CM Mohan Yadav Announces Recruitment To Fill Forest Posts Vacated By Promotions
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said 4,506 forest officials have been promoted and fresh recruitment orders issued to fill vacancies created by the promotions. The sanctioned strength of the Forest Department is 25,389 posts. Yadav praised field officers as ‘Green Soldiers’ and stressed modern forest management and wildlife conservation.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that as many as 4,506 forest officials have been promoted, and the government has issued new recruitment orders to fill the posts which became vacant due to promotions.
The number of sanctioned posts in the forest department is 25,389 and more than 18,000 officials are working. The government wants to modernise forest management and has issued fresh recruitment orders to fill posts that fell vacant following promotions.
The Chief Minister was addressing the 'Abhinandan Samaroh' organised by promoted forest officials at the Indian Institute of Forest Management on Monday.
He dubbed field officers of the forest department 'Nature Sons' and 'Green Soldiers' for their relentless service to protect forests and wildlife, which provided the state the status of tiger, leopard, vulture and cheetah. He added that the state is number one in wildlife conservation across the country.
4,506 forest officials promoted
The 4,506 promoted forest officials include 188 assistant conservators of forest, 2,821 forest rangers, 761 deputy forest rangers and 736 from other categories.
This is for the first time that so many forest officials were promoted in one go. Principal secretary Raghvendra Singh shed light on modern methods adopted for wildlife conservation.
