Bundelkhand Express Hits Jeep Stuck On Track Near Jhansi; Major Accident Averted
Before the crash, the people in the jeep tried to move it off the track. When they saw the train coming, they left the vehicle and ran away.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A major accident was averted after a Bundelkhand Express hit a jeep stuck on the railway track in Jhansi district on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Magarpur village in Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh, late Wednesday night.
The accident caused panic among passengers, and the train was delayed for about 35 minutes.

According to information, the train was going from Gwalior to Prayagraj when it reached the spot around 1 a.m.
A jeep (Bolero) was already stuck on the track. The train driver tried to stop the train using emergency brakes, but the train still collided with the jeep. The jeep was badly damaged, but thankfully, no one was injured.
Before the crash, the people in the jeep tried to move it off the track. When they saw the train coming, they left the vehicle and ran away.

Police and railway officers, including RPF and GRP, reached the scene and removed the jeep after much effort. The police are now searching for the driver and the owner of the vehicle.
Railway PRO Manoj Kumar Singh said that some items related to a wedding were found inside the jeep, which suggests it was returning from a wedding.
The exact owner is still being identified.
