Woman Raped On Loan Pretext
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man allegedly befriended a woman on pretext of providing a loan and then raped her after finding her alone. The incident took place under Piplani police station limits. According to information, the woman had befriended a person named Pawan Goswami.
Pawan started messaging the woman and offered her to provide loan. In October last year, Pawan raped the woman after finding her alone at the house. Pawan threatened the woman to defame her and raped her on several occasions in the absence of her husband.
Fed up of exploitation, the woman informed her husband about the incident and approached Piplani police for help on Monday. Police officials said a case had been registered against the accused and efforts were on to trace and arrest him.
One Held In Abduction Case Of Property Dealer
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Kolar police on Tuesday arrested one of the accused involved in the abduction of a property dealer Nitesh Thakur in November last year. Pawan is among the five accused named in the case and has been taken on remand for questioning, police said.
As per reports, resident of Kolar area, Nitesh Singh Thakur was allegedly called to Gwalior on some pretext and was abducted by Pawan Parihar, Hemant Chauhan, Sanjay Rajawat, Om Rajawat and Akash Rajawat. They assaulted and tortured Thakur and demanded cash from him.
It is alleged that the accused took Rs 30 lakh from Nitesh’s wife before he was released. An FIR was registered against the accused at Kolar police station on complaint of Nitesh. However, the accused were on the run since then. An SIT was formed under ACP Aanjali Raghuvanshi for investigation and arrest of the accused. ACP Anjali said following a tip off on Tuesday, one of the accused Pawan Parihar was arrested near Minal Residency.
