Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Locals saw dogs were eating a head of an unidentified child near the garbage area in Bajpayee Nagar on Tuesday, Shahjanabad police said here on Tuesday.
Police station in charge Umesh Pal Chauhan told Free Press that a head of an unidentified newborn child was found near Bajpayee Nagar multi apartments. Children who were playing nearby saw some dogs were dragging and eating a head and informed their parents. Then the locals redeemed the head from the dogs and informed the police.
He further said that according to the locals, information police started finding the remaining parts of the child. They also found a hand and some other small parts of the body from a nearby garbage area.

He added that it is suspected that the remaining body parts were eaten by the dogs. Due to which, from the recovered body parts, police are not able to even identify the child's gender. They had sent the head and other recovered body parts for the postmortem.
He also added that police are now interrogating the locals, including the nearby hospitals, medical centres, clinics, and quacks, to get the information about this child. They suspect whether the child was born from an unacceptable relationship or from any rape victim. Police further investigation is on.
