Bhopal: Replace traditional soyabean from Urad, tur in MP, Agriculture department to farmers

BHOPAL (Madhya Pradesh): Department of agriculture is motivating farmers to increase the area of pulses crops like moong, urad, tur, etc. in place of the traditional soybean crops in Madhya Pradesh. Farmers are also being motivated for natural farming, agriculture department officials said.
Deputy Director Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development BL Billaiya informed that in view of the possible acreage from different crops inputs are being arranged by setting targets. A plan has been drawn up to provide training for natural farming.
In the first phase, 199 farmers of the Bhopal district registered on Pratikriti Krishi Portal (natural farming). The time for sowing of Kharif crops is near. For the sowing of crops in the Kharif year 2022, there is a sufficient quantity of chemical fertilizers, urea, DAP in stock.
Apart from DAP, Urea, farmers should also use fertilizers containing potash and sulfur in their fields to get a good yield of crops. Also, before sowing the crops, seed treatment must be done, to maintain the fertilizer power of the land, also use organic fertilizers.
There is the availability of fertilizers in sufficient quantity in the district so that the farmers can use the fertilizers in Kharif crops according to the demand, officials added.
