Bhopal: Poster Urging To Engage Only Hindu Workers Removed
Minority community members objects to it, seek action against people responsible for putting up such poster

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): An objectionable poster at Jehangirabad Crossing urging residents to engage only Hindu community workers and labourers was removed by police and Nagar Nigam on Thursday. The poster was removed after some locals took exception to it and handed over a memorandum against it to the authorities.
TI Jehnagirabad police station Ashutosh Upadhyay said the poster has been removed following objections by local residents. According to reports, the poster put up by an organisation Mahila Jgauri Samiti urged the Hindus to call workers only of their own religion for their different works.
The poster also mentioned the name and mobile numbers of Hindu community workers of different professions like painters, plumbers, electricians, computer hardware mechanics, carpenters, vegetable vendors, tailors, masons, barbers, auto mechanics etc.
The poster also carried a photograph of the samiti president Sadhna Nandu Yadav. However, members of Muslim community raised objections to it and handed over a memorandum to Jehnagirabad police demanding the removal of the poster and action against those responsible for putting it up.
In the memorandum they mentioned that Bhopal has been a city of diverse culture and the poster was posing a threat to peace and unity among citizens. Promptly acting on it, Jehangirabad police on Thursday removed the poster with the help of municipal corporation team.
