MP News: 27-Year-Old Man Dies After Getting Trapped In Thresher Machine

Ashta (Madhya Pradsh): A 27-year-old farmer died in a tragic accident early Monday morning in village Bhanwara under the Ashta region after being caught in a thresher machine while working in his field, police said.

The deceased, Upendra Singh, son of Kamal Singh, was threshing wheat when the machine reportedly developed a technical fault. According to family members, he had briefly stopped the machine to take a break for tea. After returning around 3.30 am, he restarted the machine and attempted to replace a damaged blade.

During the process, his hand got trapped in the running machine. He lost balance and was pulled entirely into the thresher, leading to his death.

Upendra s uncle, Jaswant Singh, said the incident occurred while he was trying to fix the blade after resuming work.

On receiving information, the Dial 112 police team, led by officer Ram Pal Singh Solanki, reached the spot and took the victim to Ashta Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and registered a case of accidental death. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
