Bhopal: Break dance talent hunt on July 14
According to the officials, the judges to select dancers will come from Mumbai.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state sports and youth welfare department is organising a talent search for its new break dance academy. Selection sessions will be held at TT Nagar stadium on July 14.

Committee will look out for talented dancers who can make India proud and win medals in the Olympics to be held in Paris in 2024.The International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) announcement includes break dance as a medal event at Paris Games 2024.
Pradeep Asteya, assistant director, Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare Department, said, “We expect 30-50 participants from Bhopal. Generally, 100-200 players come in sports selection but break dance is new. Hence, we don’t expect a good number of applicants. After selection, we will give coaching to the best participants, and for that, we will hire a coach.”
He added, “Break dance is not talked about much in the city. We are trying our best to spread the word about the selection. We are talking to dance academies so that the best dancers can be selected and represent our country in the Olympics.”
The registration will begin at 9 am. Participants should be from 12 to 20 years of age. Participants will be judged based on a solo performance. Selected participants will get free training by the MP Government. Participants will have to arrange for food, transport and lodging.
