Bhopal: Bomb hoax in Jaipur-Sikandrabad express, halted at Itarsi
The train was headed green towards Sikandrabad at around 4 pm after an intense inspection, added the SP.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A paper slip with written threat to blow up two coaches of Jaipur Sikandrabad express at Itarsi junction of state Madhya Pradesh turned out to be a hoax, said the railway officials.
The GRP, RPF and local district police reached the spot and made an intense search of the bogies, said Hitesh Choudhary, SP.
Gurkaran Singh, SP of Narmadapuram also reached the railway station with the bomb deduction and disposal squad and sniffer dogs and searched the area.
The train was headed green towards Sikandrabad at around 4 pm after an intense inspection, added the SP.
Superintendent of police rail, Hitesh Choudhary told Free Press that the train was heading towards Sikandrabad. Crossing Narmadapuram station a passenger found a hand-written note in the bathroom at around 1 pm on Sunday.
“The note said that a bomb was placed in two bogies to kill my family, please help. The slip was handed to ticket collector and the TTE further informed about it to the control room. The GRP, RPF and local district police reached the spot and made an intense search of the bogies”, the SP added.
The incident created panic among the passengers. Several confused passengers shared their experience on social media.
