Bhopal: BJP Begins Exercises For Executive Committee, Political Appointments

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun to work for the formation of the state executive committee and make political appointments.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has held several rounds of meetings with the top leaders of the organisation for the past two days over the two issues.

BJP’s co-organisational general secretary Shiv Prakash, state in-charge Mahendra Singh, and regional organisational secretary Ajay Jamwal are camping in the state capital. State party president Hemand Khandelwal and organisational general secretary Hitanand Sharma also took part in the meeting.

The BJP leaders are preparing a list of names for the executive committee as well as for the political appointments.

The leaders who will not be included in the BJP team will be appointed to corporations and boards. The BJP is mulling over whether the political appointments should be made first or a team of Khandelwal should be declared.

According to sources, some leaders will be asked to state their choice. Those who want to work for the party will not get posts in corporations and boards.

Those who are already having responsibilities in the government will not be included in the party’s executive committee. The number of MPs and legislators in the committee will be less than what it was earlier.

Discussions were also held on adjusting those leaders who were not given tickets for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections on the grounds of caste equations.

After completing the exercises in the state for setting up the executive committee and making political appointments, the party leaders will go to Delhi. A decision will be taken after the central leadership puts its seal.
