Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 45-year-old staff member of a liquor agency was killed by his colleagues following a scuffle in Samardha under Misrod police station late Sunday night.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man was attacked following a tiff over supremacy among the employees. An FIR has been registered against eight people and some of them have been arrested, police officials said.
According to reports, Liberty Colony resident Kripashankar Rajput was an employee of a liquor agency. On Sunday night, Kripashankar and his colleagues were standing near a culvert, which borders neighbouring Raisen district.
A colleague of Kripashankar identified as Shubham argued with him when he rebuked him over some issue. The scuffle escalated when Kripashankar slapped him.
Police reached the spot on receiving information and after the intervention of the cops, Shubham left the spot. However, Shubham later returned with five aides and assaulted Kripashankar with sticks and bats. Kripashankar who received severe injuries died on the spot.
An FIR was registered against Shubham, Vicky Khamra, Shivam Kushwaha, Nitish Kaud and two other persons. Additional DCP Mahaveer Singh Mujalde said an FIR had been registered against six persons and some of them have been arrested and being questioned further.
Primary questioning revealed that Kripashankar was assaulted after a scuffle over supremacy among the staff.
Son of serial killer
One of the accused Shubham Khamra is the son of serial killer Adesh Khamra who was arrested by police in 2018. Adesh confessed to having killed and looted 33 truck drivers of multiple states.
Adesh told police that he used to kill truck drivers and cleaners to relieve them of their pain and suffering. Adesh is currently lodged at Gandhi Nagar prison. Adesh worked as a tailor but used to murder truck drivers at night.
