55-Year-Old Woman Dies After Her Saree Catches Fire While Warming By Gas Stove In Guna
On hearing her screams, her family members woke up and rushed to the kitchen. They tried to extinguish the fire and after a lot of efforts, they succeeded.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 55-year-old woman tragically lost her life after succumbing to severe burn injuries, while warming her hand in Guna on Thursday.
The woman was trying to warm herself on a cold morning when her saree caught fire while sitting in front of a gas stove. Despite her efforts to stay warm, the flames quickly spread, leading to fatal injuries.
The deceased was identified as Gayatri Devi, resident of Madhusudangarh.
How the saree caught fire?
According to reports, Gayatri woke up around 5 AM on the fateful morning. To warm herself and escape the cold, she sat in front of the gas stove. While the rest of her family was still asleep, her saree accidentally caught fire. In agony, she screamed out, waking her family members.
They quickly rushed to the kitchen and attempted to extinguish the flames, managing to do so after a lot of effort.

Afterward, Gayatri was taken to a private hospital in Madhusudangarh. The doctors referred her to the district hospital, but tragically, she passed away on the way.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and registered a case. Gayatri’s nephew informed the authorities that she had been undergoing treatment for psychiatric issues and was unmarried.
