Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): A 20-year-old youth drowned while bathing at Akhebar Ghat in Madhya Pradesh's Ashoknagar on Monday.
The youth has been identified as Hrithik Bairagi, a resident of village Tighri police station Kachnar. According to reports, Hrithik had gone to Akhebar Ghat accompanied by his friends, Sanket Jain and Bharat Yadav.
After offering prayers at the temple, Hrithik expressed his wish to take a dip in the river. The youth dived into the water near a banyan tree about 200 meters away from the temple while both of his friends decided to stay outside.
There was no current in the river and the water was stagnant, despite this, Hrithik suddenly drowned. Notably, he knew how to swim, which has raised serious questions. Information about the incident was given to the Dehat police station.
