17-Year-Old Girl Raped On Pretext Of Marriage, Accused Leaks Nude Video After She Confronts Him About His Marriage In Gwalior

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 17-year-old girl has alleged that she was raped by a man who promised to marry her in Gwalior.

According to information, the accused, Akash Batham, lived on rent near the girl’s sister’s house and became close to her over time.
He later took her to Haryana, kept her at his brother-in-law’s house, and sexually assaulted her multiple times.
According to the complaint, Akash told the girl that he liked her and wanted to marry her. One day, when she was alone at home, he entered and forced her into a physical relationship.
This continued several times. Later, he came with an e-rickshaw, took her to the railway station, and travelled with her to Haryana.

In Haryana, they stayed for two days at the home of his brother-in-law, Sandeep Batham. During this time, Akash repeatedly assaulted her. He later told her to return home, saying she was still underage and should not tell anyone about what happened.
The girl recently discovered that Akash had married someone else. When she confronted him, he refused to marry her and stopped responding.
After she objected to his marriage, Akash allegedly leaked a nude video of her using her sister’s social media account and made it viral.
Following this, the girl’s family approached Gwalior police and filed a complaint. Police have registered a case against Akash under sections of rape, POCSO Act, and the IT Act.
His brother-in-law has also been booked for helping in the crime.
Police have started an investigation and assured that both accused will be arrested soon.
