Maruti Suzuki Upgrades Alto K10 with 6 Airbags as Standard; Check New Price
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 continues with its existing powertrain options, giving buyers the flexibility to choose between petrol and CNG variants.

Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the Alto K10 with enhanced safety features, now offering six airbags as standard across all variants. This improvement comes after similar updates to the Celerio and Brezza. In addition to the airbags, the hatchback now includes 3-point seat belts for rear passengers, luggage-retention crossbars, and essential safety features such as ABS with EBD, ESP, and rear parking sensors. With these additions, the Alto K10’s price has increased by Rs 16,000, making it the second price revision within a month. Earlier, on February 1, 2025, the hatchback saw a price hike of up to Rs 19,500.
With the latest safety updates, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 now comes with revised pricing across its variants. The base STD variant starts at Rs 4.23 lakh (ex-showroom), while the LXI is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh. The VXI and VXI+ variants are available for Rs 5.30 lakh and Rs 5.59 lakh, respectively. Buyers opting for the AMT versions will need to shell out Rs 5.80 lakh for the VXI AMT and Rs 6.09 lakh for the VXI+ AMT. The CNG-powered variants, LXI CNG and VXI CNG, are priced at Rs 5.89 lakh and Rs 6.20 lakh, respectively.

Under the hood, the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K10 petrol engine remains unchanged, producing 68bhp and 91Nm of torque. In its CNG configuration, the same engine delivers a reduced output of 56bhp and 82Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed AMT for the petrol version, while the CNG variant comes equipped with a factory-fitted kit paired exclusively with a manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 packs a range of convenience and safety features, making it a well-equipped option in the entry-level hatchback segment. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and steering-mounted controls for added ease of use. Comfort features include manual air conditioning, front power windows, keyless entry, and a 4-speaker sound system. On the safety front, the hatchback offers essentials like a rear child lock, seat belt reminders, an engine immobiliser, a high-mounted stop lamp, and front seat belt pre-tensioners to enhance occupant protection.
