Aprilia Tuono 457 to Hit Indian Roads on February 17

Aprilia is gearing up to launch the Tuono 457 in India on February 17, 2025, as a more accessible alternative to its fully-faired sibling, the RS 457. With an expected price below Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom), it targets riders seeking a blend of performance and practicality.

Designed as a street-naked model, the Tuono 457 features a flat handlebar for a relaxed riding posture, along with a restyled tail section. Other key elements include rear-set footpegs, boomerang-shaped DRLs, a two-piece seat, and an underbelly exhaust, making it a standout choice in the streetfighter segment.

Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a 457cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp and 43.5Nm of torque. Industry speculation suggests that Aprilia may tweak the gearing to improve low-end acceleration, although no official confirmation has been provided. With a reduced kerb weight, the bike is expected to offer a more exhilarating ride. The Tuono 457 retains the same suspension system as its RS 457 sibling, featuring a 43mm inverted fork at the front and a rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc, a 220mm rear disc, and dual-channel ABS, ensuring precise control and safety.

Equipped with a TFT display similar to the RS 457, the Aprilia Tuono 457 is packed with features aimed at enhancing rider comfort and control. It comes with a 3-level traction control system that can be fully deactivated for a more tailored riding experience. The bike also offers three adjustable riding modes—Sport, Rain, and Eco—which fine-tune the ABS and traction control to suit various conditions. Competing directly with models like the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and Yamaha MT-03, the Tuono 457 positions itself as a well-equipped contender in the streetfighter segment.
