'Pakistan Always Strived For Peace...': Pak Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Confirms Ceasefire Between India & Pakistan
President of the United States Donald Trump said that both the countries agreed for a complete and immediate ceasefire on Saturday. India also confirmed that a ceasefire has been initiated between India and Pakistan effective 1700 hours today.

Islamabad, May 10: India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday after tensions mounted between the two countries since India carried out Operation Sindoor. President of the United States Donald Trump said that both the countries agreed for a complete and immediate ceasefire on Saturday. India also confirmed that a ceasefire has been initiated between India and Pakistan effective 1700 hours today.
Pakistan also issued a formal statement confirming the ceasefire between both the countries. Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said in a tweet that Pakistan has always strived for peace and security.
He said, "Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity!"
US President Donald Trump said, "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
As per reports from ANI, the stoppage of firing and military action between India and Pakistan was worked out directly between the two countries. The Pak DGMO initiated the call this afternoon after which discussions took place and understanding reached. There is no decision to hold talks on any other issue at any other place: Sources.
