'Help You Longed For Has Now Arrived': Netanyahu Appeals Iranians To Overthrow ‘Terrorist Regime’ As Strikes Intensify

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday issued a direct appeal to the people of Iran, urging them to unite and overthrow what he described as a “terrorist regime.” Calling the moment an “opportunity that comes only once in every generation,” Netanyahu said the time had come for Iranians to secure their future. His statement came as coordinated strikes launched by the United States and Israel on Iran, which led to retaliatory missile and drone attacks by Iran. The escalation triggered heightened security alerts and disruptions across the Gulf nations.

In his address, Netanyahu said, “The help you have longed for has now arrived,” further declaring that Israel would strike “thousands of targets” in the coming days linked to the Iranian regime.

Netanyahu framed the developments as a historic turning point, encouraging citizens across Iran to seize what he described as a rare chance for change. He claimed Israel’s actions would create conditions that could allow the Iranian people to free themselves from oppression.

Netanyahu's Appeal To Iranians

The moment when you must take to the streets, come to the streets in your millions to finish the job, to overthrow the regime of terror that has embittered your lives. O citizens of Iran, Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Ahwazis, and Baluchis— Now is the time to unite your forces to overthrow the regime and secure your future."

Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israel airstrikes, Iranian state media confimed. Apart from Khamenei, his daughter, grandchild and son-in-law, were also killed in the US-Israeli strikes.

Earlier, taking to Truth Social, Trump also announced about Khamenei's killing. In a statement, Trmp decribed as 'one of the most evil people in History, is dead." Apart from this, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Abdolrahim Mousavi was killed in the US-Israeli strikes on Iran, the country's state-run IRIB TV reported on Sunday.

Air Travel Impacted

Meanwhile, the escalation has also triggered heightened security alerts and disruptions across the Gulf. Air travel has also been impacted. Several international airlines have either suspended or rerouted flights, with airspace over Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel and Bahrain appearing largely empty on flight tracking maps. In the UAE, operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport were suspended until further notice due to security concerns.
