Earthquake Of Magnitude 5.8 Hits Afghanistan; Tremors Also felt In Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi-NCR
An earthquake of of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Afghanistan at 12:17 PM (IST). Tremors were also felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi.

New Delhi: An earthquake of of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Afghanistan at 12:17 PM (IST). Tremors were also felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. The earthquake struck at a depth of 130 km, according to the National Seismology Center (NCS).
"EQ of M: 5.8, On: 19/04/2025 12:17:53 IST, Lat: 36.10 N, Long: 71.20 E, Depth: 130 Km, Location: Afghanistan," the NCS posted on X.
"I felt the tremor. I was in the office when my chair shook," a local in Srinagar told ANI.
So far there no reports of any injuries or collateral damage due to the quake.
Earlier on Saturday, an earthquake of magnitude 209 struck Assam's Nagaon. The quake hit at a depth of 10 km.
