Chile: Humpback Whale Nearly Swallows Kayaker, Spits Him Out Moments Later; Dramatic Video Surfaces
After the incident, the father-son duo expressed that they would keep kayaking despite the incident.

A dramatic video has surfaced online showing a humpback whale swallowing a kayaker before spitting him out off Chilean Patagonia. The man seen in the video reportedly escaped unhurt.
According to reports, 24-year-old Adrian Simancas was kayaking with his father, Dell Simancas, when the massive humpback whale suddenly emerged, ensnaring Adrian and his kayak in its mouth for a few seconds before releasing him.
Adrian's father, who was a few meters away from him, recorded the incident.
In the video, Dell can be heard asking his son to "grab the boat" after he resurfaces on the water.
"I thought it swallowed me," says Adrian in the viral video.
Adrian, who later shared his experience with CNN, stated that he briefly felt like he had been swallowed by the humpback.
"When I turned around, I felt on my face like a slimy texture; I saw colors like dark blue, white, something approaching from behind that closed… and sank me... At that moment, I thought there was nothing I could do, that I was going to die, I didn't know what it was," Adrian was quoted as saying.
After the incident, the father-son duo expressed that they would keep kayaking despite the incident.
Wildlife experts believe that Adrian wasn't swallowed by the humpback whale. They aren't known for targeting human-sized prey.
