WATCH: Shocking! Woman dives into tiger shark's mouth

We keep hearing about instances where humans do dangerous stunts out of their adventurous nature and act like 'Khatron Ke Khiladi.' A similar video has resurfaced on social media showing a woman narrowly escaping a shark's mouth in Hawaii.

The diver in the video is Ocean Ramsey who is a marine conservationist who regularly posts videos of her encounters with sharks on Instagram to raise awareness of their importance and to promote conservation efforts.

The video was posted by 'Wow Terrifying', Twitter handle that features various viral content and has since gained over 2.3 million views.

The video shows Ramsey narrowly escaping a tiger shark, identified as Queen Nikki, as it opens its mouth to bite her. The shark eventually swims away.

Ramsey described the encounter as scary but ultimately left her laughing more than surprised. She noted that she saw the shark approaching quickly and accurately knew when to back off to avoid being bitten.

Ramsey gained international media attention for free diving with sharks, including great white sharks.

Tiger sharks are often found close to the coast, mainly in tropical and subtropical waters throughout the world. In the western Pacific Ocean, the shark has been found as far north as Japan and as far south as New Zealand. These large, blunt-nosed predators have a duly earned reputation as man-eaters. They are second only to great white sharks in attacking humans. Large specimens can grow to as much as 20 to 25 feet in length and weigh more than 1,900 pounds.
