Video: Venomous Baby Cobra Hides Inside Helmet, Bites Rider On The Head

A recent viral video has left netizens both shocked and cautious as it showed a baby king cobra hiding inside a helmet, later rescued by a skilled snake handler in a city in South India.

In the video, the helmet initially appears normal when placed on the ground. However, as the snake rescuer carefully prods its interior with a stick, a small yet highly venomous king cobra emerges.

This video brings back memories of a similar incident in Kerala in October 2023, where a man named Sojan narrowly escaped a potentially fatal encounter. Sojan, a local resident, had left his helmet on the platform near his workplace. Upon retrieving it in the evening, he noticed an unusual movement inside and suspected a snake's presence.

Acting swiftly, he contacted the forest department, who dispatched snake volunteer Lijo to the scene. Upon careful inspection, Lijo discovered a two-month-old cobra concealed inside the helmet. Despite its small size, the snake posed a significant threat due to its potent venom. 

In the latest episode, as per an X user, @ManojSh28986262 the baby cobra bit the rider on his head as he proceeded to wear the helmet.
