In a bizarre yet amusing twist to the job-hunting saga, a female talent acquisition specialist in Delhi was left stunned when a hopeful applicant ditched the conventional resume for a poetic way of romance.
Instead of a CV, the candidate sent a shayari over WhatsApp, "Kaise jiye ek pal bhi unke bin...", turning a professional outreach into an unprofessional one. The unusual approach has since gone viral, sparking discussions online.
Ritika Agnihotri, who works at Depex Technologies, took to LinkedIn to expose the unprofessional bahaviour she encountered during the hiring process. She shared screenshots of the inappropriate and rather flirty messages she received from job seekers.
One candidate sent her romantic shayari, while another praised her looks and gave her missed calls in the middle of the night.

One of the messages read, “Muskan ban jaata hai koi, dil ki dhadkan ban jaata hai koi, Kaise jiye ek pal bhi unke bin, Jab zindagi jeene ki wajah ban jaata hai koi…"
Another individual texted, "Aap sundar itni ho main aapko dekhne ke baad ab tak nahi bhool paya ma'am. But jo sach tha woh bola, gussa mat hona. You are the most beautiful girl in the world".
Clearly frustrated, Agnihotri questioned how to respond to such applicants who lack not only professionalism but basic sense of understanding to talk to an HR.
Internet reacts
Her post sparked widespread reactions from LinkedIn users, many of whom echoed her concerns.
“Next time, if you find such a person, hire him and fire him within a month—no notice needed,” one user commented sarcastically.
Another added, “We should disclose their identity to teach them a lesson and prevent them from targeting others. Blocking alone won’t stop such behavior.”
