His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists, recently (June 29, 2022) gave a public talk at his residence in McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh, and later met a group of Indians.

During his interaction with the group, a little girl asked him: "How can we speak to god?" A video of the same was posted by Tibet.net

Check out the video here:

The Dalai Lama said: "I think now according to Buddhist tradition God is not the creator. The only thing he taught us is the right way of thinking, speech and the right way of physical action. Buddha says you are your own master."

One of the famous teachings of Buddha is: "I have shown you the path of liberation, it is upon you to walk on that path, for you are the master of your own destiny, who else would be your saviour other than yourself."

Dalai Lama is a title given by the Tibetan people to the foremost spiritual leader of the Gelug or ‘Yellow Hat’ school of Tibetan Buddhism, the newest and most dominant of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

The 14th and current Dalai Lama is Tenzin Gyatso, who lives as a refugee in India. The Dalai Lama is also considered to be the successor in a line of tulkus who are believed to be incarnations of Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
