'Embarrassment And Shame': Man On Vietnam Trip Claims Group Of Indians Were Thrown Out Of Club At Hanoi's Beer Street

A man who was on a recent trip to Vietnam claimed Indian tourists engaged in indecent behaviour, ruining the country's name and reputation in the foreign destination. He narrated his experience on Reddit and shared he saw a group of Indians kicked out of a bar in Hanoi.

"I watched a group of Indians get thrown out of a club on Beer Street in Hanoi, and I felt secondhand shame", the Redditor posted.

He mentioned the scenes he witnessed during his vacation in Vietnam left him with embarrassment and shame. He slammed people who exhibited "cheap" behaviour, considering such tourists led to a bad impression of India in the minds of locals.

"Travelling in Vietnam has been frustrating because I feel like I’m constantly paying for the sins of other Indian tourists", he wrote while recounting how Vietnamese refused to attend Indian men. "Let’s be real: a lot of these so-called "travellers" are an embarrassment. Many come here with zero respect for locals", the post read.

"It’s gotten so bad that women outright refuse to offer massages or anything remotely intimate to Indian men because of past experiences. The worst offenders? The dehati uncles—the kind who have no business leaving their villages, yet somehow find themselves in another country, making life miserable for the rest of us. And then there’s the sheer cheapness", the Reddit user added.
