National Games: Shireen To Captain Maharashtra Team In Basketball

Shireen Limaye has been appointed captain of the Maharashtra women’s team that will be participating in the ongoing National Games 2023 in Goa.

Limaye has vast experience as she was captain of the Indian team which had participated at the recently concluded Asian Games held at China.
The 12-member state team was announced by M Venkatesh, senior administrator, Basketball Federation of India, in the presence of Govind Muthukumar and Jayant Deshmukh.
K.M. Nizar Ahamed has been entrusted with the role of Head Coach, while Manisha Dhange is the Assistant Coach. Arnika Gujar is appointed Manager of the team. The selection committee has also named five standbys.

The team: Shireen Limaye (Captain, Siya Deodhar, Durga Dharmadhikari, Gayathri S. Lakshmi Priya S., Arya Riswadkar, Bhumika Sarje, Rajeshwari S. Nandana K.M., Vaishali Singh, Nisha Sharma, and Anshika Kanojia.
Head Coach: K.M. Nizar Ahamed, Assistant Coach: Manisha Dhange, Manager: Arnika Gujar.
Standby: Suzanne Pinto, Aanaya Bhavsar, Mansi Nirmalkar, Riccha Ravi, Saraswati Devkar.
