Sarfaraz Khan roared with delight as he struck a crucial blow for the Chennai Super Kings with his quick thinking. The Mumbai star picked up a loose ball and quickly threw it to Ruturaj Gaikwad to force the run out of the well-set Prabhsimran Singh. Singh was taking the gam away having scored 43 before Khan struck the breakthrough to pull CSK back into the contest.

Chasing 210 to win, Punjab Kings looked in cruise control with Prabhsimran Singh and Cooper Connolly motoring along after a blazing start from Priyansh Arya. Singh particularly looked in control as he rotated strike and picked up boundaries in regular intervals.

He looked set for a big score when Sarfaraz Khan showed quick thinking to bring an end to his innings. In the 9th over, Singh tapped a Noor Ahmad delivery towards mid-wicket. Ahmad chased the ball and Prabhsimran hence wanted two to get back on strike.

A mix-up between Connolly and Prabhsimran occurred, with the Australian sending the keeper back. While Noor couldn't collect the ball on the go, Sarfaraz Khan quickly swooped in with a bullet through straight to Ruturaj Gaikwad who completed the formalities.
