The couple had met via a mutual friend and notably also had a pre-engagement photo shoot as pictures of the same surfaced on social media. Saroj, who belongs to the political field, made history last year by winning the Lok Sabha seat from Machhlishahr, having just been 25 at that stage. Important personalities like Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, MP Ram Gopal Yadav, BCCI Vice-President and Congress MP Rajeev Shukla were present for the ceremony.

Rinku Singh's performance in IPL 2025
Rinku, who was retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) before the IPL 2025 auction, delivered an underwhelming performance with the bat. Although the southpaw maintained a strike rate of 153.73, he managed only 206 runs in 13 matches as the defending champions failed to reach the playoffs. They suffered a massive 110-run loss to the SunRisers Hyderabad in their final game of IPL 2025.
Nevertheless, the 27-year-old is likely to be the mainstay of India's T20 side. Rinku averages a healthy 42 in 33 T20Is with 546 runs alongside a strike rate of 161.06. He is likely to be seen in Indian colours in August when they are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for white-ball series.
