Team India leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi posted a hilarious comment on Harshit Rana's Instagram post as the latter shared a few photos from his ODI debut on Thursday in Nagpur. With the young pace bowler writing a heartfelt caption and dedicating his win, Bishnoi hilariously wrote 'Ouch ouch mat kar bete'.
Rana, who made his Test debut against Australia and his maiden T20I appearance against England as a concussion substitute, got his first ODI cap on Thursday. Although the Delhi-born cricketer went for 26 runs in his third over of the innings, he came back in style to pick up three wickets, dismissing Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone.
Sharing a few pictures on his official Instagram handle, Harshit wrote:
"Overwhelmed with emotions as I wore the Indian jersey for the first time in an ODI. And contribute to a winning cause. Can’t ask for a better start."
Numerous Indian cricketers had commented but Bishnoi's stood out as he stated:
"'Ouch ouch mat kar bete'.
"This format is tough because it’s long" - Harshit Rana
Rana, meanwhile, spoke at the post-game presser that his lengths earlier in the innings weren't quite right and reaped the rewards of it after rectifying them.
"Cricket has ups and downs. I just focused on my length and got my rewards later. I didn’t change anything in my second spell, just hit the right areas. This format is tough because it’s long, and you need to play different roles at different times. But with proper practice, it becomes manageable."
