MSSA Football: Cambridge School Kandivali Defeat Don Bosco Matunga

Cambridge School Kandivali stunned much fancied Don Bosco Matunga A 1-0 in their opening Boys Undfer-16 Division I Group B match of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) football tournament at Wings Sports Centre Bandra on Wednesday.
Playing on the astoturf this year, a change from rain soaked muddy ground near Azad maidan, the teams took their time to adjust to the turf. Parth Shinde scored the winning goal to put Cambridge on victory path. Bosco despite their foothold over the competition couldn’t find a goal to comeback in the match.

Don Bosco International Matunga and Jamnabai Narsee School Juhu played a goalless draw in the Girls Under-16, Division I Group B match on Wednesday.
St. Xaviers Mira Road and Smt. RSB AVM Juhu played a 1-1 stalemate in the Group D match of same category. Inaaya Qureshi put Xaviers ahead to give them advantage but Radhika came up with a timely equaliser for RSB AVM.
