'I Have Been Trying...': Rishabh Pant Makes Plea To Uttarakhand CM For Seeking Land In State, Reveals His Plan

Rishabh Pant has made a personal appeal to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, seeking help in acquiring land in his native state as he looks to shift his base from Delhi and build his first home in Uttarakhand. The India wicketkeeper-batter made the request through a post on X, revealing that he has been searching for suitable land for the past three years.

Pant said he wants to return to his roots and be closer to his home state. Addressing Dhami, he explained that despite trying for several years, he had been unable to find land that suited his requirements. He also expressed his desire to contribute to the development of Uttarakhand and reconnect with his “Pahadi people.”

Pant said he was willing to purchase the property from the government at the applicable rates. His primary aim, he explained, is to have his first house in his home state.

Born in Roorkee in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district, Pant began his cricket journey in the state before moving to Delhi to pursue his professional career. Although he has continued to represent Delhi in domestic cricket, the 28-year-old has maintained a strong emotional connection with Uttarakhand and has often spoken about his roots.

Currently with India’s Test squad in Sri Lanka, Pant appears keen to eventually establish a permanent home in the state where his cricketing journey began.
