IES VN Sule Guruji, Dadar defeated Ryan International CBSE, Malad by 271 runs in 129th Harris Shield MSSA U-16 Inter-School cricket tournament at Matunga Gymkhana on Thursday. Batting first, VN Sule Guruji made a huge 338-4 in their allotted 45 overs. Right-handed batter, Aditya Jaiswal top scored with a brilliant 164 not out and thus won the Man of the Match award. He stuck to his game plan keeping things simple in the middle and was awarded with a well-deserved ton. Kiyaan Tanna picked two wickets. Coming out to chase down their total, Ryan International were put under pressure right from the word go. Faltering very early, they only managed 67 all out in 29 overs. Bhupendra Waghela picked 6/23 in seven overs.
Sanpada beat Podar
High School Sanpada beat Podar International School by 88 runs at VES Chembur. Put into bat first, High School Sanpada made 287 all out in 40.4 overs. Pankaj Itkar starred with the bat, scoring 106 not out in 87 balls, winning the Man of the Match for his splendid ton. He helped keep the scoreboard ticking in the middle and remained unbeaten till the very end, trademark of an upcoming champion. Arush Pundle grabbed three wickets. In reply, Podar International managed only 199 all out in 32.3 overs. Ganesh Tendulkar top scored with 67. Vinay Shirke was the pick of the bowlers, with (4-24) in 8 overs.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Swami Vivekanand posted 166-9 in 44 overs, which included 6 penalty runs. Shreyas Chopade top scored with 92 runs before being given out lbw. Vedant Gore snapped up (4-50) in 16 overs including 2 maidens. In reply, General Education Academy finished off with 167-1 in 22 overs. Shaurya Patil top scored with 115 runs in 66 deliveries; his elegant style of play won him the Man of the Match award. General education Academy comfortably won by 9 wickets in the end.

VK Krishna Menon Vs Al-Barkaat Malik English School at LIC Cross Maidan
VK Krishna Menon posted 175 all out in 43.5 overs. Ridit Poojary made 57 runs. Aaditya Pandey grabbed (4-53) in 14.5 overs. Al-Barkaat chased down the total easily, making 177-3 in 27.4 overs, thus winning their contest by 7 wickets. Ishan Phathak remained unbeaten on 81 not out while Jai Gupta contributed 45.
