Dream Sports Championship Football: Reliance Foundation Young Champs Secure Convincing Win Over Dempo SC

Reliance Foundation Young Champs put up a dominating show against Dempo SC in the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 National Finals Day 3 as they registered a 5-0 win on Thursday. Captain Shawn Appolinario Fernandes led from the front, scoring four out of the five goals in the ongoing U-17 tournament.

The skipper opened the scoring in the 12th minute and then followed it with another one within the next two minutes (14th minute) to help his side take a 2-0 lead in the first half. Fernandes continued his form in the second half as well, adding two more to his tally and completing his hat-trick in the 65th minute and then scoring his fourth in the 68th minute. Substitute Harshal Manigandan also got his name on the scoresheet as he netted in the 71st minute.

In the second fixture, Mohun Bagan Super Giant continued their winning streak as they defeated Chennaiyin FC 3-0. MBSG took a 2-0 lead in the first half itself, courtesy strikes from Aditya Mondal and Prem Hansdak. Aditya scored the first one in the 21st minute while Prem followed it up with another one in the 22nd minute. Later, Thangngaisang Haokip stretched the lead to 3-0 in injury time (90 + 3) to eventually seal the win.
