Australian men's team could be in for a big blow as all-rounder Cameron Green faces a race in time to be fit for the blockbuster five-Test series against India, beginning on November 22 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The youngster will return home from England, having been ruled out of the ODI series for further assessment.

The 25-year-old had played in the first two matches in the ODI series against England, scoring 32 and 42 along with picking up two wickets in ten overs collectively. He likely sustained the injury during the 3rd ODI at Chester-le-Street when the home side won by 46 runs (via D/L method) to keep the five-game series alive.
Green is arguably one of the first-choice players in Australia's Test side, skipper Pat Cummins indicating that the youngster will have more role with the ball over the summer. The West Australian had a stellar tour of New Zealand earlier this year when he slammed 174 during the opening Test in Wellington that eventually culminated in a convincing win for the tourists.

India won the last two Test series held Down Under; hence, Australia, led by Cummins will be keen to prevent another defeat.
