Tree Falls On Moving PMPML Bus Near Chinchwad Station; Seven Sustain Minor Injuries |
A tree collapsed on a moving PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited) bus near Chinchwad Railway Station Chowk around 10 AM on Tuesday. While no serious injuries were reported, seven passengers sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The bus was headed towards Akurdi when a large tree suddenly came crashing down on it near Kalbhor Nagar, Khandoba, on the busy Nigdi-Akurdi Road. The incident occurred during peak traffic hours and led to major congestion in the area.
Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Fire Officer Gautam Ingawale said, “The incident was reported during peak hours at around 10 AM. A massive tree fell on a moving PMPML bus. The incident created traffic congestion. The PCMC fire brigade reached the spot and began clearing operations.”
