According to student representatives, the issue has remained unresolved for the past five to six months, leaving thousands of students in uncertainty as examinations approach.

“We have been receiving only assurances from the university for the last 5-6 months, but the PRN is still not unblocked. Exams are very close, and we are still in a state of uncertainty. If the PRN is not unblocked, our entire academic year will be wasted. We clearly demand that our PRN be unblocked, or we will intensify our agitation,” said student representative Satish Bandgar.

Students claim that despite making repeated visits to the university and continuous follow-ups, no concrete decision has been taken so far. They allege that administrative inaction and internal politics are directly affecting their academic future.

Mahesh Kamble, Maharashtra State President of the Media Department of NSUI, said, “Despite continuous follow-ups by students, the administration is only buying time with assurances. This inaction has put the future of thousands of students at risk. Internal politics within the university is the root cause, and students are bearing the brunt of it. Stop playing with students’ lives and issue a circular on the PRN matter without further delay.”

Another student, Ajinkya Huse, expressed frustration over repeated unfulfilled promises. “For the past six months, I have been visiting the university regularly. Every time we are told that the PRN will be unblocked within 15 days, but even after six months, nothing has happened. We had been assured that a circular would be issued within five days, but no such circular has been released to date. This is clearly playing with students’ future. Stop delaying decisions; we need immediate action,” he said.

Students further stated that they had submitted multiple representations and were assured by the Examination Department and the Vice-Chancellor that the process to fill exam forms would begin within 10 days. However, even after 15 days, no action has been initiated.

Frustrated by the continued delay, students have now taken to protesting despite heavy rainfall. They have warned that if the issue is not resolved immediately, the agitation will be intensified in the coming days.
