In yet another rescue of a cow, this time stuck between two walls, Pune fire brigade officials are on a mission to rescue a cow again on Sunday.
A cow got stuck early this morning in a narrow L-shaped lane near the old police chowky on Tadiwala Road, Pune. Fire brigade personnel are making every effort to rescue it.
"A cow got stuck this morning in a narrow L-shaped lane near Tadiwala Road, Old Police Chowki, and the fire brigade and rescue team are trying to free it. Since the cow is pregnant and the lane is very narrow—only about two and a half feet wide. A stairway landing is blocking the rescue operation, work is underway to demolish part of it," said a fire brigade official.
Recently, in an unusual rescue in Pune, a cow that had wandered onto the second floor of an old building in Kapad Galli, Raviwar Peth in Pune, was safely brought down by the fire brigade using ropes and a crane.
The incident occurred on Friday morning and drew a crowd of curious onlookers, as firefighters worked swiftly to ensure the animal’s safety.
Meanwhile, a cow died in the Kasba Peth area due to electrocution, which was caused by waterlogging on Saturday.
As per the information, the cow went upstairs to escape from stray dogs that were barking at her but could not find a way back to the ground floor. That's when locals called the fire brigade. The cow was not injured during the operation.
