The second season of the Baramati Power Marathon, presented by the Punit Balan Group, was a huge success. The event, held on a pleasant morning in Baramati, featured scenic roads, enthusiastic runners, and a warm welcome at the finish line by the SRPF band. The marathon is approved by the World Athletic Association.
The event was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, MP Sunetra Pawar, Punit Balan, Janhavi Punit Balan-Dhariwal, Parth Pawar, and actor Jackie Bhagnani. Over 2,800 runners participated in the marathon, with excellent planning and well-placed hydration and energy points along the route. The marathon was held at the Baramati Railway Station Ground in multiple categories.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, "While Baramati is progressing all around, the sports sector is no exception. Competitions like marathons are important for a healthy lifestyle, and Punit Balan and his wife Janhavi are always at the forefront in organising such competitions. Due to their cooperation, this competition is being held successfully for the second consecutive year. I heartily congratulate Satish Nanaware and his entire team for their hard work and making this marathon a success."
"We are working to promote various sports through Punit Balan Group. The planning of the Baramati Power Marathon competition was very disciplined and meticulous. Thousands of citizens and youths showed up early in the morning and participated in this competition. Due to this, our enthusiasm has also increased," Balan said.
The winners of the marathon categories were:
42 km Men: 1st - Late Chandev, 2nd - Gaikwad Dayaram, 3rd - Pankaj Singh
42 km Women: 1st - Manisha Joshi, 2nd - Urmila Bane, 3rd - Sindhu Umesh
21 km Men: 1st - Dhondiba Girdawa, 2nd - Abasaheb Raut, 3rd - Dr. Mayur Farande
21 km Women: 1st - Sheetal Tambe, 2nd - Shivani Chaurasia, 3rd - Smita Shinde
10 km Men: 1st - Amul Amune, 2nd - Sujal Sawant, 3rd - Aryan Pawar
10 km Women: 1st - Aarti Babar, 2nd - Sonali Matne, 3rd - Roshni Nishad
