Pune: Following unseasonal rainfall in April, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued urgent instructions to manage the situation in the city. Mayor Manjusha Deepak Nagpure has directed officials to take immediate steps to prevent inconvenience to citizens.
As per the orders, action has begun across the city. Tree trimming, removal of dangerous branches, and cleaning of drains are being carried out on priority. These steps aim to prevent accidents and waterlogging that is already happening in some parts of the city.
The disaster management department and officials from all ward offices have been told to act quickly and effectively. The administration said citizen safety is the top priority, and all necessary measures are being taken.
