Nashik: Nashik hosts the Kumbh Mela. Nashik's land is fertile in terms of industrial development. Various industrial projects will come up in Nashik in the coming days, and the development of the city will gain further momentum, asserted the Maharashtra Industries Minister, Dr Uday Samant.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the new building of the Skill Development Centre, built by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation at Plot No. 1 in the Government Industrial Training Institute in Satpur. On this occasion, School Education Minister Dada Bhuse, Food and Drug Administration, Special Assistance Minister Narhari Zirwal, MLAs Seema Hire, Dilip Bankar, Saroj Aher, NIMA President Ashish Nahar, AIMA President Lalit Bub, along with MIDC officials, trainees, and students, were present in large numbers.

Skill Development Centre: With the government's vision that every sector should develop, the first skill development centre is being started in Nashik through the corporation. This centre will prepare skilled manpower as per the needs of industries, and employment opportunities will be created. Five such centres will be started at the divisional level in the state, and 8,000 students will be trained in the next three to four years.
Permanent Exhibition Centre: A permanent exhibition centre will be set up by MIDC at a site determined by the Nashik Municipal Corporation. This centre will be used for exhibitions and industrial programmes for 11 years, while in the 12th year, it will be transferred for the Kumbh Mela. A 'tent city' will be set up here for entrepreneurs coming for the Kumbh Mela so that new industries will come to Nashik through them.
Tribal Cluster: The first tribal cluster in the state will be set up at Jambutke in Nashik. The decision to provide 74 acres of land for this has been taken in the cabinet meeting. This will bring the tribal community into the mainstream and create new entrepreneurs.
Agriculture and Land Acquisition: The winery industry will get more strength with the inclusion of the grape component in the 'One District One Product' (ODOP). Land acquisition is underway in Maparwadi, Igatpuri, Rajur Bahula, Jambutke, Malegaon, and Sinnar to promote industrial development.
Other Facilities: The problems of entrepreneurs are being resolved through the 'Maitri' portal. Approval will be given soon for the construction of necessary roads.
Opinions of other ministers
School Education Minister Dada Bhuse said that an industrial revolution has taken place in the state in the last three years through the Industries Department, and the state is leading in the creation of new industries. The Skill Development Centre will provide students with excellent training with all the facilities and will create skilled workers.

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Engineer Balasaheb Zhanje. The Skill Development Centre was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon by the dignitaries, and the cornerstone was also unveiled.
