Nashik: Woman, Two Children Die By Suicide After Jumping Into Well; In-Laws Booked For Harassment

A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Nashik district. A 28-year-old married woman died by suicide by jumping into a well along with her two young children in Saundane village of Malegaon taluka. Relatives have alleged that she took this extreme step after being harassed by her in-laws.
The deceased in this incident include Harshali Rahul Ahire (28), son Sanket Ahire (5), and daughter Aarohi Ahire (7). This incident has created a stir in the entire area. A case has been registered against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law of the deceased woman at the Malegaon Taluka Police Station for abetting suicide.

According to the information given by the relatives, Harshali Rahul Ahire was constantly harassed by her in-laws due to suspicion of her character. She was kept hungry and was also beaten from time to time. She had also filed an application against her in-laws at the Women's Counselling Centre. However, after both sides reached a compromise, Harshali went back to her in-laws. The relatives have alleged that she died by suicide along with her children due to this harassment.
Malegaon Taluka Police is investigating the matter thoroughly. Further legal action will be taken based on the information received from the family.
