Nashik: Statistics indicate a significant rise in various enforcement actions in the Nashik district due to enhanced surveillance and effective implementation measures undertaken by the administration to maintain law and order. Compared to the year 2024–25, the year 2025–26 has witnessed a substantial increase in punitive actions, penalty amounts, vehicle seizures, and registered offences.

The total number of punitive cases in the district has increased by 84.7 per cent, rising from 176 cases in 2024–25 to 325 cases in 2025–26. The administration stated that intensified field inspections and effective monitoring have been the primary reasons behind this rise.

Similarly, the total amount collected through penalties has recorded a remarkable 144.2 per cent increase. While the penalty amount stood at ₹2.51 crore last year, it has surged to ₹6.13 crore this year. The administration believes that stringent penal action has helped bring rule violators under effective control.

There has also been a noticeable increase in vehicle seizure actions, with the number of seized vehicles rising by 37.4 per cent. In 2024–25, 179 vehicles were seized, whereas in 2025–26 the number increased to 246. Improved surveillance and regular inspection drives have been cited as the key reasons for this growth.

Notably, the number of registered offences (FIRs) has witnessed a sharp 1,160 per cent increase. While only 5 cases were registered in the previous year, the number has jumped to 63 cases in the current year. This reflects stronger legal action and improved coordination among various departments.

According to the administration, this positive growth has been achieved through strategic policy reforms by the state government, technology-driven surveillance, field-level inspections, and better inter-departmental coordination. The administration has also expressed its intent to further strengthen law and order in the coming period through similarly stringent measures.
