MSEDCL and MSEB Solar Agro Power Ltd Win Prestigious IPPAI National Award for Solar Power Initiative
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated the additional chief secretary (energy) Abha Shukla, MSEDCL managing director Lokesh Chandra, and MSEB Solar Agro Power Ltd on this achievement.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) and MSEB Solar Agro Power Ltd received the prestigious Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI) national award at a function held in Belgaum on Saturday. The companies received eight awards in various categories during the event. The national award was presented for providing uninterrupted solar power to farmers during the daytime through the Chief Minister Saur Krushi Wahini Yojana.

The award was instituted by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI), with energy-producing companies from all over the country participating in it.
MSEDCL, with the help of the energy department and MSEB Solar Agro Power Ltd, implemented the Chief Minister Saur Krishi Wahini Yojana by generating solar energy and providing electricity to farmers for agricultural feeders during the daytime. Not only the agriculture sector, but the scheme has also benefited industries by reducing cross-subsidies.
Chief General Manager Dattatray Bansode, Superintending Engineer Amit Bokil, Executive Engineer Sharad Band, Deputy Executive Engineer Aarti Kulkarni, Ramesh Dethe, and others received the award.
